Program:
Summer program. Dow offers six-week internship opportunities for students. Summer interns will get the opportunity to expose themselves to the real business world, to participate in projects as assignments, and to take part in other activities at Dow as well. Most interns will be based in Shanghai. Manufacturing & Engineering interns will be based in Zhangjiagang. Service apartments on Dow’s account will be provided for the selected students outside Shanghai.
Business Development (BD). For master degree or MBA students who are just graduated with major in Marketing, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and other related fields; with outstanding interpersonal effectiveness and communication skills; with good command of English, high degree of initiative, team players.
Legal. For bachelor or Master degree students who are just graduated with major in International Economic Law, Economic Law, International Trade Law, Civil and Commercial Law, Corporate Law or Intellectual Property Law. Second degree in Chemistry or related subjects a plus; with good command of both written and oral English, good learning and analytical skills. Team player with high degree of initiative.
Who may apply: Manufacturing & Engineering (M&E) Bachelor or Master degree students who are just graduated with major in Chemical Engineering or other related engineering disciplines, with a good command of English, good analytical and learning skills. Team player with a high degree of initiative.
Interns can gain valuable experience by working in a business environment on actual projects. A variety of work experiences will help students set goals and evaluate job opportunities before making a long-term commitment. Furthermore, the hands-on work experience will help students build self-confidence and become more independent.
Every intern have a Dow leader as a mentor. Dow leaders will coach the interns and enable them to grow and learn new skills in a less formal way. Mentors will draw from their own experience to coach and counsel interns while they are with Dow.
