Program:
Technician internship program. BP works closely with top community and technical colleges around the country to give talented students hands-on experience in their chosen field. This allows both the students and BP the opportunity to evaluate future career possibilities. The intern program is a primary source for hiring regular full-time employees.
BP’s internship program usually takes place during the summer breaks, but can also occur at other times. Students are given defined projects that can be completed during the internship and are mentored by experienced BP technicians.
Opportunities are available in all major areas of BP for process, production, instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical technician students.
To be considered, the student need to be enrolled in one of the noted discipline technology programs and be in good academic standing. Strong leadership communication and self-motivation skills are preferred. Students can apply for the internship opportunity prior to completing their first year. However, the first year of the program must have been completed before the internship actually begins.
Internship program. BP's internship program provides hands-on, career-specific experience working full-time, usually during summer breaks. Intern opportunities are generally available in all major areas of BP for students majoring in the disciplines in which we recruit: engineering, science and business.
