Citrus College enjoys the reputation of a small, friendly college with a student body of over 12,000 students.
Citrus College offers associate degrees, university transfer programs, career certificates and an Intensive English as a Second Language Program. Citrus College offers many free student support services, including personal and academic counseling, visa advisement, transfer information and assistance, academic tutoring, and career planning. The International Student Center also provides help with homestay and organizes regular activities throughout Southern California.

English as a Second Language
It is a comprehensive program for both international students and resident students is designed to help students improve their English skills and prepare for academic life at Citrus College. Courses include reading, writing, grammar and oral communication.
Noncredit ESL is for beginning to intermediate learners who want to learn English for personal enrichment. These classes help students improve basic communication, reading and study skills. Noncredit classes may be taken more than once. Many students begin ESL in noncredit and then transfer to credit ESL. The Academic Bridge class helps students prepare for credit ESL. Make an appointment with a Noncredit Counselor to determine student's level.
Credit ESL classes help students from low intermediate to advanced levels of English prepare for academic coursework at Citrus College. These classes focus on developing reading, writing, grammar and oral skills. They also prepare students to enter a certificate or degree program, or transfer for a bachelor's degree. There are five ESL levels with several classes in each level. Students will take an ESL placement test which will determine the level.
