Coe College was founded in 1851. It is a residential campus located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa - Iowa's second largest city. The approximately 1,300 students enrolled at Coe make up a diverse population, representing more than 33 states and over 15 foreign countries. CC offers more than 40 majors that range from accounting to art and molecular biology.

Intensive English as a Second Language Program. This program is well known and highly respected in the academic community. It helps to develop English proficiency, academic skills, and confidence.

All courses are offered at several English proficiency levels to meet the needs of the students.Each term: Oral Grammar, University Reading, Academic Writing, Pronunciation, Academic Skills. Occasionally: Debate, Discussion, Community Investigations, Folktale Theater, Introduction to American Culture, TOEFL Preparation, Accent Modification, Hot News Topics, and Reading-Writing Workshop.
