UW-L was founded in 1909. The university enrolls 8,521 undergraduate students, 1,454 graduate students, 518 multicultural students, 290 international students who represent 43 states and 38 countries represented. UW-L offers 88 undergraduate majors in 44 disciplines. Student-to-faculty ratio is 24:1. Average class size is 29 students.
